Kalen is a poet, printer, bookmaker, publisher, musician, editor, designer, AND ABSOLUTE CUTIE PIE living in Houston, TX.

They have a degree in creative writing from the University of Houston. Their poetry is published or forthcoming in Botticelli Magazine, RipRap, Written Here, No Assholes, Gutfire, REALITY TUNNELS, The Letters Page, Dismissives, Metaphor, Gravel, Fractal, Primitive, Gargoyle, Phantom Kangaroo, The Aletheia, and Glass Mountain. In 2013 they helped found and now run Anklebiters Publishing, a DIY tiny press that prints Anklebiters Journal and the zine Poets Anonymous, among many others. They have self-published two books of poetry, Free Songs and Something Beautiful Triumphs, and they are an alumnus of The Home School and the Community of Writers.

They are a member of the experimental music and noise projects KA, Flender, Refinery, and Prion. They make trashy technicolor flyers and band merch for Odditory Recordings. Welcome to the dump.
